Forms and Commerce on Static Sites
A static page can start a transaction. It does not have to host the entire transaction runtime.
Forms are endpoints
A project inquiry does not need a CMS plugin. It needs a labeled form, server-side validation, and a delivery path such as email through a worker.
That is the pattern this site uses. The page is static. The submission is a function.
Booking can stay where it works
Many Alaska operators already have a booking tool their staff trust. The website should link or embed that path carefully, not rebuild it inside a page builder to look unified.
A fast trip page that hands off to a working booking flow beats a slow all-in-one template.
Commerce has a proper home
When a catalog and checkout are real requirements, a commerce platform can own accounts, tax, and orders. The editorial and marketing pages can still be static.
Squarespace and Wix commerce are convenient bundles. They are not the only way to sell, and they are often the wrong way to publish.
