Edge Delivery and Alaska Connectivity

Distance is not a metaphor here. A heavier origin and a heavier page are both felt.

Send less, from closer

Visitors may be on a phone in a valley, a harbor, or a hotel Wi-Fi network that is worse than the demo laptop. Prebuilt HTML and compressed images give that phone less to do.

A page builder that needs origin rendering plus a megabyte of scripts is the wrong bet for that network.

Seasonal spikes should be boring

Tourism and event traffic should not depend on a single CMS server waking up and assembling pages. Files cached at the edge fail more gracefully.

Static delivery turns a traffic spike into a bandwidth question, not an outage story.

The content still has to be local

Edge delivery does not make a generic template relevant to Homer or Fairbanks. The pages still need real services, real constraints, and real next steps.

Fast and empty is not the offer. Fast and specific is.
